More good news for Lamar post the incidence that could have ended his life when he overdosed at a Nevada brothel this past October. He is making a progressive recovery and now the Nye County District Attorney’s office ruled in the ex pro-athlete’s favor. He will not be facing any drug charges related to the ordeal.
Angela Bello, Nye County District’s Attorney made an official statement saying, “Based on the present evidence and surrounding circumstances, we have decided not to bring charges against Lamar Odom. Although the evidence showed Mr. Odom had metabolized cocaine in his system while he was present in Nye County in October of 2015, he was not found in the possession of cocaine and it is unlikely it could established beyond a reasonable doubt he actually ingested, or was impaired by, the drug during the time he was within the jurisdiction of Nye County.”
It’s assumed that the decision is result of the county not wanting to hurt any of the brothel’s future business endeavors. However it has been concluded and widely shown that individuals who experience severe trauma and are hospitalized from an overdose rarely face criminal charges. The the goal for the victim, in case Odom, to do a full recovery without being overwhelmed by anything else.
Good for Lamar, continuing to wish him the best in his recovery.
