BET Honors will air Feb 23 and the details of the esteemed event have been unveiled!

Arsenio Hall is set to host to an incredible line up for the evening. It’s been awhile since the comedian has graced the scene as he will entertain us through the itinerary of presenters, recipients and entertainment from Washington D.C.’s Warner Theatre.

The cast of Fox’s hit show Empire is all over the program. Taraji P. Henson will presenting while her TV show son Jussie will be performing. V. Bozeman who made an appearance on the show as an artist in the first season will also grace the stage. And it doesn’t stop there as the creator and director of Empire, Lee Daniels will be honored as the Television and Film Award recipient.

The Godmother of Soul, incomparable Miss Patti Labelle will be honored with the Musical Arts Award with a night of highlighted performances by Ledisi, Fantasia, Leon Bridges.

Epic Records USA Chairman/CEO and music mogul, L.A. Reid who is responsible for the careers of so many power-house artists and groups we know today will be honored with the Business of Entertainment Award with a surprise performance throwing back to the days when he was a member of  The Deele in what fans can anticipate to be a rendition of “Two Occasions.”

The list continues to flourish with the first African-American U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder Jr. being honored with the Public Service Award and Mellody Hobson who reigns over Ariel Investments, Starbucks Corporation, Estée Lauder and Dreamworks Animation SKG, Inc. with the Corporate Citizen Award.

Mark your calenders, Feb 23 is sure to be a wonderful celebration of black excellence.
