A judge has denied Bill Cosby’s request for a dismissal in his sexual assault case against Andrea Constand.

This news comes as a shock to the Cosby defense team, as his lawyer Monique Pressley argued that  former Philadelphia District Attorney Bruce Castor  “promised” to not prosecute Cosby.

The defense was banking on that promise, and the denied request throws a wrench in the team’s plan of action.

Cosby claimed he was offered “immunity” , which is the only he reason he  agreed to sit for a deposition in Constand’s civil case.

Though prosecutors argue that Castor had no legal authority to make such a promise nor grant any kind of “immunity” to Cosby, and that the Constand case will move forward.
