The New York Times brought together 7 artists, SZA, Dej Loaf, Tinashe, Abra, Jean Deaux, Lord Narf and Empress Of, who they deemed as “Hiphop And R&B’s Freshest Female Voices”.
The ladies all came together to put their own spin on the classic “Killing Me Softly” by Roberta Flack in which The Fugees sampled in 1996, which made it the Hiphop and R&B record we know today.
