On Sunday while preaching in Detroit, Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan brought up the recent backlash of Beyoncé and other Black artists.

Farrakhan vowed the service of the group’s paramilitary division, Fruit of Islam stating that they would fill in at any concert that police refuse to attend. Prior to this statement, the Miami police threatened to  boycott Beyoncé’s Formation World Tour. There is also a threat of a possible boycott in New York.

According to TMZ, Farrakhan had a few choice words for former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, “Look at how you treatin’ Beyoncé now. You gonna picket. You not gonna offer her police protection. But the FOI [Fruit of Islam] will.”

As for advice for other Black artists, the Islam leader had this to say, “Say what you feel. Put it out there!”
