Birdman’s pockets just became a tad bit lighter.
According to TMZ, Cash Money Records has to pay up for old Jay Sean songs that they hadn’t payed the royalties for.
Orange Factory Music won a $1.1 million judgement for producing several of Jay Sean’s tracks dating back to 2009’s “Down” as well as “Fire”, “Do You Remember” and “Light’s Off”. They are not the first to sing this song, Lil Wayne and Jas Prince are currently suing Cash Money for unpaid royalties as well.
A judge agreed with Orange Factory Music and has given them 21 days to pay up.
