Religion is a touchy subject for most people and is the cause of most of the wars in the world. That is why Harvard’s Divinity School and Wellesly College have teamed up to do a free online course about the different religions to help people become more tolerant of their religious differences.
The course will have six classes that will run for four weeks each. The first class called, Religious Literacy: Traditions and Scriptures, will be taught by Harvard Divinity School Director, Diane Moore. The five classes after will cover specific faiths, including Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, and Judaism.
The course will begin March 1st and is expected to have 50,000 students. The free course even offers the participants a certificate of completion if they want for $50.
