Russell Wilson has a message for us, “Be good.”

Russell Wilson is one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL but he has another passion, philanthropy. The 27-year-old has teamed up with the Good Man Brand with his Why Not You Foundation and has promised to donate a portion of the profit from every item sold.

The “Good Man Brand” has promised to donate $3 of every purchase to charity. Where will the proceeds go? Wilson has committed himself to assisting inner-city education. This is a cause that he and his team picked specifically and they believe it is tangible and can have immediate impact with inner city children all over the nation.

The beauty of the brand, according to Russell, is that the consumer, along with the company, can make a difference. Wilson told the Huffington Post that “We’re trying to change the way and the attitude of culture. Ultimately, this brand is going to help change people’s lives.”

Wilson has a bigger goal in mind, its not about fashion for him, “It’s about effecting change. That’s what we’re really after.”
