A criminal investigation has been launched after a video surfaced of a student being slapped and kicked around by a Baltimore police officer while a second officer watched, doing nothing.
The footage was filmed by another student at the REACH Partnership school. School officials were reportedly unaware of the incident until notified by local news station WJZ. Now, Chief Marshall Goodwin & the two officers involved have been placed on administrative leave.
Major Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said the video was “appalling” and is worried that it could further damage the relationship between the police and the public.
It is unclear as to weather of not the officers will face charges. The story is still developing.
