We may be getting more insight into the life of Adonis Creed through sequels to the box office smash “Creed.”

The film, a seventh installment of the “Rocky” franchise starring Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Creed, received rave reviews from critics and fans. With many leaving the theater wanting more of Adonis, rumors of a sequel to the film began to fly.

The film’s producer, Irwin Winkler, seems to think that a sequel is a very obvious choice.  He said, “We think that there is really a story to examine the life of Adonis Creed, and we’re going ahead with it.”
Winkler promises that this next film will focus more on Creed than Rocky, and will begin to unravel the layers of the life of the complicated boxing starlet on the rise.

While he’s definitely confirming a new film for fans, he hasn’t confirmed whether or not the fan favorites will return to the franchise. Ryan Coogler, the director, and Michael B. Jordan have yet to be mentioned in talks about about the return.
We’re excited about the news of the development of Adonis Creed, and we hope to hear that Ryan and Michael are on board for the sequel in the near future!
