Coming off the soundtrack of Spike Lee’s upcoming Chi-Raq, “Contraction” offers smooth settle tones from the Georgia native Mali Music. The legendary film maker who is big on making a statement tells a story about women abstaining from sex until their men agree to stop the chain of violence tearing the city apart.

The video unveils that sentiment of male versus female interaction during the complex battle of love as Mali repeats, “If you say that’s it’s over I won’t die.” Taking place in the club a place full of noise much like the world, Mali sings about a time when he was blind and all about ‘her’. With the tables now turned, he’s on his own time not trippin’ off a love lost. Jhene comes into play with her mysterious allure and settle sex-appeal adding her sauce and melodic vocals to the track.
