Metro Boomin recently stopped by Shade 45 to talk with DJ Drama and cover everything his fans want hear. Metro Boomin detailed the origins of his now ubiquitous tag, “If Young Metro don’t trust you, I’m gon’ shoot you,” he explained that the tag was first on a Uncle Murda song when it caught his attention. After appearing on Drake and Future’s “Jumpman” and most recently, Kanye West’s “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1, the young producer’s name blew up more than ever.

February 25, Complex News asked former hopeful Ben Carson to fill in the blank, “If Young Metro don’t trust you,” to which he replied: “Then you probably need to either become honest or be able to explain the reason for their doubts.” When asked about the hilarious and slightly awkward answer, Metro Boomin actually agreed with him and thought it was a fair answer.

Young Metro also talked about his success, history with Gucci Mane and Don Cannon,confirming that Esco Boomin — the rumored collaborative project between himself and DJ Esco is real and wanting to be respected as a real producer.
