Kobe Bryant found a new way to break records, and this time it’s simply with his attire. The LA Lakers vet broke a record when his 2016 All-Star Game jersey sold for a whopping $100,040 via NBA Auctions.
In case you were wondering, that’s about twice the price of the last record, according to Sports Illustrated—$50,040 for the first jersey LeBron James wore when he came back to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
If you’re looking for something a bit cheaper from the man himself, for about $1,100, you can purchase the shorts he wore during his 18th and final All-Star outing.
Come April 13, don’t expect anything else of his to be that cheap. Once Bryant steps off the courts at the Staples Center for the last time, expect even his socks to be worth a fortune.
