TMZ reports that the 66-year-old comedian died from a sudden massive heart attack. A source said that Thursday morning (Mar. 24) he seemed healthy, but then that afternoon 912 was called to his home and he was transported to the hospital where he died.
Photos online has surfaced of a healthy looking Shandling out less than a week ago with fellow comedian Kathy Griffin and Bob Odenkirk.
“The Larry Sanders Show” was on for six seasons from 1992-1998 on HBO. This show was a comedic behind-the-scenes look at fictional late-night talk show host Larry Sanders (played by Shandling) and the production of his show.
