Carmelo Anthony is the real MVP. When a random kid came on the court to give the NY Knick player a hug, Anthony just kindly obliged.
Last night (March 28) in the middle of the New York Knick and New Orleans Pelican game at the Smoothie King Arena, a little boy ran out on the court and gave Anthony a hug. Carmelo rubbed the little guy on the head and held his arm until officials were brought to escort the child off of the court. “It was a little kid,” Anthony told the LA Times. “I was shocked. I didn’t really know who it was until I actually looked over and saw that it was a kid.”
Good thing it was just a little kid looking for a hug that was able to breech security.

Update: Although the Smoothie King Arena’s chief of security Russ Bourgeois declined to comment on the matter, Associated Press, passed on comments from Carmelo, calling the incident a definite security issue.
