New developments have come up in the saga that is Katt Williams and the teenager he got into a physical altercation with in Georgia. In the infamous video, Williams and the teen, Luke Wash, are seen getting into an argument and a physical fight ensuing.
Since the video went viral, both Williams and Wash have spoken their side on the story- and both me have conflicting reports of what exactly led up to the incident.
Now, officials have taken the matter into their own hands, having charged each man with disorderly conduct. While no police report was filed by either party, the viral video footage prompted officials to press charges themselves, especially since the incident involved a minor.
“It’s my understanding that Wash is in custody at the jail and we have made contact with Williams’ attorney and it is our hopes and our understanding that he will be turning himself in,” Gainesville Police Sergeant Kevin Holbrook said Monday.
Wash, 17, will be tried as an adult, and that another video of the fight has surface, showing Katt being followed by the teenager, who then made the first move in engaging in physical behavior with the comedian.
This new charge is the latest on the list of legal woes faced by Katt: he’s been in out of jail for battery, marijuana possession, and making terroristic threats all within a two month time frame.
