In a recent interview with Bleacher Report, LeBron James revealed before the end of his career, he would like to play on the same team as Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Paul. During an interview with ESPN’s Hannah Storm yesterday, Patrick Ewing was asked if he ever would have considered trying to do the same thing, but with Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird. Ewing quickly shot the idea down.
“Probably not because we have so much of a great rivalry going against one another,” he said.
“Larry with his trash talking. Magic also with trash talking, also a great player. To win a championship, a lot of people are willing to do that.”
Ewing also said that he doesn’t see LeBron’s dream of playing with his three faves in the league coming true.
“He befriended them or whatever you want to call it, that’s his prerogative,” he said.
“Even if he wants and thinks that he could play with those guys, I don’t see it happening. We all have dreams, and that’s his dream.”
