While many people debate on if he’s the greatest athlete of all time, Michael Jordan has made some major financial moves since retiring from the NBA 10 years ago.
Forbes released a list of the highest-paid retired athletes on Wednesday, and Jordan is the highest-paid retired athlete in the world. On top of that, he’s set to make more money than any other athlete in 2016, retired or active.
Forbes estimates Jordan’s worth at $1.1 billion, naturally, the majority of that money comes from his Jordan brand. Forbes state that his earnings will surpass those of any other athletes this year by a whopping $30 million.
Also included in the top ten of the highest-paid retired athletes are David Beckham, Shaquille O’Neal, and Magic Johnson.
