“Straight Outta Compton” was criminally snubbed by the Academy Awards this year, but they won huge at the MTV Movie Awards over the weekend.

The movie won the first-ever “True Story” award for a movie based on real events. When the cast came up to accept their golden popcorn, they seized the opportunity to troll the hell out of the Oscars.

When Eazy-E actor Jason Mitchell’s turn to speak, he said he wanted to “thank the Academy … I mean MTV, my bad.” Mitchell went on to thank MTV by saying, “You’ve all been pioneers for the N.W.A.”

He added, “N.W.A and ‘Straight Outta Compton’s’ story really speaks to so much more than music. It really speaks to brotherhood.
