Lately, Maxwell has been the gift that just keeps on giving. After the surprise arrival of his new single “Lake By the Ocean,” it’s confirmed that the singer is going on tour this summer.

The Summers’ Tour will most likely feature songs off his upcoming LP blackSUMMERS’night, the follow-up to 2009’s similarly titled BLACKsummers’night. This tour will begin on June 10th in Tacoma, Washington and finish on August 7th in Jacksonville, Florida.

After unveiling his newest single, Maxwell revealed he had been in the studio with over the past few years with collaborators who helped him on his 1996 LP Urban Hang Suite.

“I’m working with all of the same people on the new album,” Maxwell said. “It’s always been a family type of thing, and I think that that’s what, maybe, has made it special. It feels, to me, even better than what we did 20 years ago.”
