May 17 marks one year since Queens rapper, Chinx was fatally shot in his car. Months after his senseless murder, the NYPD is still diligently working on trying to solve the case.
Fox 5 News reports that lead detective Lt. Louron Hall and Lt. Richard Rudolph believe Chinx was targeted, but they do not believe he wasn’t involved with any serious drugs. In the investigation report by Fox 5 News, Lt. Richard Rudolph stated, “I wouldn’t call it a setup, but was he a target? Yes.”

Police believe the shooting was an intentional assassination. According to reports, they are seeking the help from rap industry for any leads. Chinx’s widow, Janelli Caceres is pleading to anyone with information to come forward to get justice for the sake of his family.
