It just got easier to report social media bullies on Twitter. The company is now allowing the users to report multiple tweets when they are reporting accounts for abusive behavior.
Twitter trolls can be very annoying. Even though, blocking them and making your page private, can be an answer to the problem, reporting their profile can be very effective as well. But because Twitter is only a 140 character outlet, it can sometimes be hard to report their page with only one tweet. The harassment comes after multiple tweets most of the time. Well the Twitter leaders have heard the problem and are answering with allowing people to report multiple tweets in one harassment report. “This update makes it easier for you to provide us with more information about the extent of abuse and reduces the time it takes to do so,” said Twitter. “That added context often helps us investigate issues and get them resolved faster.”
According to the Daily Dot, Twitter has a Trust and Safety Council made up of nonprofits and businesses working on improving online harassment reporting. Twitter appears to be taking the trolling issue very seriously and wants to prevent users from leaving after receiving too many hurtful tweets.
