Former Ohio State Buckeyes corner back Eli Apple was criticized by an anonymous scout who supposedly worried that he had “no life skills,” according to Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

According to McGinn, the scout said that Apple had no skills “at all,” saying that “he can’t cook.”

The 4.40-second 40-yard dash runner and 2016 Fiesta Bowl Defensive MVP was knocked for something off the field, something aside from arrests or malicious behavior, but cooking.

Apple is among the best defensive backs in Thursday night’s NFL Draft, so if the biggest downside of his life is that he can’t cook, he must be doing everything else pretty well. Apple’s mom, Annie, took to Twitter to express her thoughts in the situation.

Despite the negativity he received, Apple will look to the NFL Draft, which takes place Thursday night.
