The rapper called into Steve Harvey’s morning radio show on Tuesday and revealed that, after the release of Life of Pablo, he’s been working on tour dates coming up this fall.
“You know my tour game is strong,” he said. “My tour game is unprecedented. So we’re going to go out in September, I believe, and we’re just working on some of the ideas right now.”
His urge to succeed may have began when he was in fifth grade. He was getting higher test grades than other students due to being homeschooled for a year by his mother while they lived in China.
“That [being advanced] let me know I had been being taught at a level that I wasn’t reaching my full potential, I wasn’t thinking to my maximum potential,” he explained. “…That’s kind of been the story ever since, anytime y’all ever heard me scream or jump up and down it was because I wanted to bring people something to a higher potential than what the powers that control the money, the image, media and perception wanted me to.”
On a more serious note, he continued,
“I really want to stress the amount of respect that I have for parents. There is no concept of anyone beating up on someone else’s child or that type of concept. So every day I feel more deeply, deeply, deeply apologetic about that concept, because I only want to put out positive, positive, positive concepts.”
