Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice and his wife, Janay, are expecting their second child, an announcement made public by a spokesman for the Rice family.
The couple, who married in 2014, made headlines when they wed just one day after Rice was charged with aggravated assault against then-fiancee Janay Palmer, whom he struck in the face and knocked out cold while riding an elevator in Atlantic City back in February 2014.
The Rice’s already have one daughter, Rayven, who is 4-years-old. The gender of the new baby has not been revealed.
After TMZ released new footage of him striking his wife in September 2014, the Ravens released Rice, who was put on indefinite suspension by the NFL. After appealing the suspension later that year, he has remained a free agent ever since.
