Rashid “Rasha” Derissant of the GS9 crew, made famous by rapper Bobby Shmurda, will be going nowhere for a very long time.
Rasha has just been sentenced to 98 1/3 years in prison, which in short means the rest of his natural born life. Last month, he and fellow gang member Alex “A-Rod” Crandon were both found guilty if the murder of the 2013 murder of a 19-year old rival gang member in Brooklyn.
Rasha was convicted on 22 counts including murder in the second degree, conspiracy in the second and fourth degrees and criminal use of a firearm in the first degree.
Crandon’s sentencing has been postponed as well and 19 other members of GS9 have pending charges against them.
As for Bobby Shmurda, his case yet to go to trial.
