With Snapchat coming in and changing the wave of live streaming on social media, many marketers have already figured out ways in which to use the platform for advertising. From filters to sponsored snap ads, businesses have already found a way to captialize the use of Snapchat.
With that, the PR team for the X-Men franchise has found a way to revolutionize the medium: by making X-Men:Apocalypse tickets available to be sold on Snapchat. This makes them the first film to ever do so.
Through a swipe option, fans will be directed to ticket buying sites where they can then purchase tickets for the film.
Not only was X-Men the first to implement ticket sales on Snap, they also took over the filter section, making every filter option X-Men themed, much to the disdain of those of us who aren’t avid X-Men fans.
