Things got real at the T.I. concert Wednesday night (May 25) at Irvington Plaza when gunshots rang out leaving one person dead and three others injured.
The shooting occurred in one of the VIP rooms on the upper level of the building where an argument had taken place before the shooting.
“It was about to go on. We saw, like, two people up on the VIP arguing, and then everybody started running because they heard the shots,” one woman told CBS. “It was terrifying. We just kept running with everybody else because they were running for their lives, so we just started running, and I fell, and I got stomped on a little bit. My shoe came off.”
According to Karen Civil the argument involved rapper Troy Ave and his entourage. Reports from Revolt say Troy was shot in the leg, while his bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter, was shot in the chest and later pronounced dead. Another woman, Maggie Heckstall, was also hit in the leg and carried out by men. Reports also say one other 33-year-old unidentified male was shot in the stomach while another unidentified male who was shot walked into NYU Langone Medical Center.
Police have not yet identified a gunman and are currently canvassing the area for footage. T.I. and his entourage, who were not involved with the shooting, are directing all questions to the NYPD.
Sad. prayers up for the victims and their families.
