Troy Ave and his now-deceased bodyguard were only two of four victims at the unfortunate shooting that occurred at T.I.‘s concert at Irving Plaza on Wednesday night. Model Maggie Carrie Heckstall, who was in attendance to support her boyfriend Maino, was hit in the leg, and has since been recovering in the hospital. Following the incident, a report circulated that quoted her lawyer as saying that Maggie told him it was Troy Ave who shot her, but she is clearing up the rumors in a new Instagram post.
“I DO NOT KNOW WHO SHOT ME,” Maggie wrote. “I have not given a signed stated to NYPD or detectives.. nor have my lawyers!”
She is also very upset with the NYPD, who have been denying her visitation and crowding her room, as they need her in their investigation in the incident.
“[Police] want to investigate and we get that, but don’t make her life miserable because she took a stray bullet,” Maggie‘s lawyer, Emel McDowell, said. “We understand the NYPD is doing their job, but she’s not under investigation. She’s not in custody for the crime. She didn’t ask for police protection. She’s obviously a victim in this. They’re making her life worse by doing this.”
They have since sent a cease and desist letter to the NYPD to have the officers in her room removed from the hospital.
The investigation into the shooting is still ongoing.
