After leading his Toronto Raptors to the Eastern Conference Finals in what is considered the greatest season in franchise history, head coach Dwane Casey is set to return to “The North” with a new contract.

The Raptors and Casey agreed to terms on a three-year, $18 million extension, which will keep him with the team through the 2018-2019 season.

ESPN’s Mark Stein reported that the two sides began talks of an extension following Toronto’s Game 6 Conference Finals loss to the Cavaliers.

Casey had just one season remaining on his current contract at the Raptor’s option for $4 million.
