Meek Mill could be enjoying his first night of freedom but instead he will be serving additional time on house arrest for failing to adhere to the court’s order.
According to TMZ, Meek did all the wrong community service so his house arrest has been extended 8 days so he can complete the hours. Meek’s camp claims the type God community service was not specified but the court says it was and that he was to complete service for veterans, homeless, senior citizens or Habitat For Humanity.
Meek instead did work for the Flint Water Crisis, visited schools and did motivational speeches. While these were all great works, they, unfortunately, don’t count. Another problem is that Meek only worked 6 days a week and that wasn’t the agreement either.
The Philly D.A’s office has said they will reevaluate once all the volunteer work is done.
