Kanye West attempt to throw a late-night pop-up show at Webster Hall was quickly halted when the streets of Lower Manhattan (Gramercy area) was flooded with fans looking to see the music family perform. After blazing the stage at Hot97 SummerJam a few hours earlier, Kanye and crew still had some energy left to deliver more to the fans.
Bad weather played a huge role in the cancellation of day 3 of Govenor’s Ball in NYC, which is one reason Kanye wanted to do the pop-up show. Several of the bands and artist who were set to perfrom on Sunday pulled together last minute pop up shows across New York City to show fans who missed out their appreciation.
New York City Mayor, Bill de Blasio, posted to his Twitter Monday to respond to Kanye’s late night call. “@kanyewest @kimkardashian Great block parties are planned,” he tweeted before adding, “@Chirlane & I can throw one w/ you to benefit NYC kids.”

The tireless efforts that Kanye and his team tried to pull together last night in a short amount of time only show how much of a showman he is. One can only expect The Life Of Pablo tour to be anything short of great.
Thank you all for coming out at 2am. Promise he will make up this pop up show
