Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has hired Jose Baez, the former lawyer of Casey Anthony,to his defense team. Baez confirmed that he will indeed represent Hernandez in his upcoming trial for his role in the 2012 double-homicide of Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreu and Safiro Teixeira Furtado.

In 2011, Anthony was charged with first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee. Baez represented Anthony in the case, in which she was acquitted of all charges against her.
