After news that boxing legend Muhammad Ali’s Friday memorial service would be open to the public, ticket scalpers took to Craigslist to auction off tickets to the free event…for profit!

The memorial service, set to be held at the Kentucky area, is expected to hold only 15,000 attendees, making the access to the event extremely limited. Ali’s longtime spokesman, Bob Gunnell, told the Associated Press that he is disappointed in the act.

“It is deplorable that some people are trying to profit off of the solemn service as we celebrate the life of Muhammad Ali.

According to Gunnell, police authorities have been notified and have been monitoring of the criminal activities, which can result in a $250 fine in Kentucky.

Despite many ticket offerings being taken down, desperate fans have still been trying to obtain tickets by any means necessary.

Can’t even lay the champ to rest without a problem. SMH.
