Former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has joined the list of pallbearers who will carry the casket of boxing great Muhammad Ali, who died in Phoenix last Friday at the age of 74. Ali was admitted to the hospital earlier in the week with a respiratory issue, having suffered from Parkinson’s Disease for 32 years.
His family said that his death was related to complications from the disease.

Lewis was selected to be a pallbearer earlier in the week, joining Will Smith-who portrayed Ali in the movie Ali in 2001, and George Foreman, along with Ali’s former sparring partner Jerry Ellis, Ali’s cousin Ibn Ali, nephew Komawi Ali, first cousin John Ramsey and former heavyweight champion Jan Wadell.
Ali’s funeral is scheduled to be held in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky at 2 PM local time on Friday.
Speakers at Ali’s funeral will include wife Lonnie Ali, actor Billy Crystal, former US President Bill Clinton, Malcolm X’s daughter Attalah Shabazz, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip.
