Troy Ave dodged a murder charged in regards to his involvement in the tragic shooting at Irving Plaza last month.  Instead, he’s been indicted with 5 other felonies that, should he be found guilty, will have him in prison for a while.

Reports from TMZ say Ave was indicted on one count of attempted second degree murder and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

Though Ave’s bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter, was killed during the shooting, ballistics did not lead the bullet that killed McPhatter to the gun Troy possessed.

In addition to the mismatch, Ave’s attorney Scott Leemon, says

“The video does not show everything nor explain what happened in the VIP room before Troy came running out, as a victim, after he was shot.”

This week, Ave’s team hopes to make a bail deal with the judge.
