Kendrick Lamar continues being great. His latest effort to uplift the community comes from his latest collaboration with Reebok. The Compton rapper teamed up with designer Ian Paley to add a meaning to the Classic Leather shoe by using the colors red and blue to signify and promote unity between the two rival gangs, Blood and Crips.
Damion Presson, director of entertainment marketing at Reebok, told Billboard on Wednesday:
“Kendrick is taking a different approach with his capsule, as he’s building purposeful product that has a message of unity which transcends the Bloods and the Crips.”
This show comes after his 2015 release of the Reebok Ventilator and his 2016 release of his first anti-gang violence take on the Classic Leathers.
The Reebok x Kendrick Lamar Classic Leather will be available for purchase staring July 1. Adult sizes will cost $109.99, with toddler versions selling at $41.99.
