After a successful premiere, ABC has chosen to pull the plug on the series’ Uncle Buck.

Starring Mike Epps and Nia Long, the show was poised to be an additional series on the network that represented black culture (alongside the network’s hit Black-ish).

During it’s June debut, it attracted 5.2 million viewers, but the July 5th season finale also served as its dismissal from the lineup.

Epps took to Instagram to thank fans for watching, and also to share his thoughts on the cancellation.

Nia Long took to Instagram to give fans thanks as well.

The show’s producer, hit maker Will Packer, says he already has something new in the works.
