DJ Obi has broken the record of world’s longest DJ set.

He began his quest on June 22, and finished on July 10. In 10 days, he spun for a total of 240 hours, beating the previous record of 200 hours by a Polish DJ back in 2014.

With only one, five minute break every hour, Obi says he powered through to honor his father, “It became bigger than me.” To ward off sleepiness, he took “disco naps” – five second power naps.

In addition to fighting sleep, rules stipulated that someone must be dancing the entire set (though it doesn’t have to be the same person), and that a song could not be repeated for four hours.
