Rich Homie was spitting Biggie’s verse on the Junior M.A.F.I.A song “Get Money” when he messed up on several lines and the Internet had a field day. Many people even question why he was even chosen to give the tribute in the first place, offering up several other options instead of Rich Homie, like Biggie’s son Christopher.

Why did VH1 chose an Atlanta rapper? We will never know. But Joey Bada$$ delivered possibly the harshest criticism yet when he tweeted this:

In Rich Homie’s defense, he issued an apology where he owned messing up but also mentioned how a technical difficulty right before he went on threw him off his game. Which is very plausible seeing as though he was to mimic and deliver lyrics from one of the greatest rappers to ever do it on a live television show. That would be pressure for anyone.

How do you feel about Rich Homie’s slip up? Excusable or no?
