Carmelo Anthony is a man of his word.

Following up on the call to action that he and his fellow basketball stars made during the ESPY Awards, Carmelo hosted a dialogue between the community and police in L.A.

Held at the Boy & Girls Club on Monday, ‘Melo titled the dialogue “Leadership Together: A Conversation With our Sons and Daughters,” and helped facilitate an honest and open discussion between the youth of the city and the police that patrol their neighborhoods.

Talking about what both concerns and satisfies them when it comes to police interactions, Anthony says the Town Hall went well.

“We came together as one big group first [and] discussed some things. We talked about the issues that’s going on out there today, and we talked about solutions.”

While there’s no word yet on whether these discussions will become a regular happening at the club, we’re sure that many of Anthony’s peers will follow suit and host similar dialogues in cities across the nation.

Check out some of what was discussed during these conversations below.
