Joining the list of rappers who are using their platform to take a stand against police brutality, The Lox have released a new track addressing the topic.

Titled “What Happens”, the song dropped on Tidal and the group followed up with an open letter to their fans about the song, saying:

“Some may interpret this song as a threat – it is not … We are asking a question, ‘What happens when we can’t take any more, what happens when we do to you what you have done to us?’ As artists and businessmen we know good officers. We have gone to school with, grown up with and are friends with officers. Officers have supported some of our businesses and we appreciate and support officers right back. But, we cannot ignore recent horrifying incidents. To police and government officials across the world, please understand and over-stand – We want peace!!!”
