The rap mogul has partnered up with mobile-game heavyweight Glu Mobile, responsible for the lucrative Kim Kardashian: Hollywood app and games with Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
According to a trailer for The Empire, players can rock virtual stages, create songs and lyric videos, customize their crib and host parties. “Get out there and show the world what you’re made of,” says Minaj, who teased the game last December. “U guys r gonna spazz out when u see what I put in this game,” she tweeted.
If this works for the “Anaconda” rapper the way it has for Kardashian, it will be a lucrative move. “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” became one of the highest-grossing apps in Apple’s U.S. app store last summer and went on to generate over $50 million.
