It’s a shame that things like this are occurring in 2016.
The Buffalo suburb home of black firefighter Kenneth Walker home caught fire on Wednesday, just days after he received hate mail calling him a the “N-word.”
Walker, 28, showed The New York Daily News a letter he received that said ‘N*ggers’ can’t be firefighters and if he didn’t resign he would regret it. He has been volunteering for two years now and he is the only black firefighter in the North Tonawanda Fire Department.
No one was home at the time of the fire but he lost everything in the fire, including two cats. Walker doesn’t want to resign from the fire department but will do whatever is best for the safety of his family.
The FBI is currently investigating.
