Michael Jordan has been feeling very black and generous these days.Following his healthy donation to the Black Lives Matter movement last month, reports have now surfaced that Jordan cut a $5 million check to the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

The museum, set to open in September, will give their thanks to MJ for his donation by naming a section of its sports gallery after him.

In a statement to the Washington Post, Mike said:

“I am grateful for the opportunity to support this museum. I also am indebted to the historic contributions of community leaders and athletes such as Jesse Owens, whose talent, commitment and perseverance broke racial barriers and laid the groundwork for the successful careers of so many African Americans in athletics and beyond.”

He also donated $1 million to both the  Institute for Community-Police Relations and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
