Black Girl Magic was in full force during Thursday night gymnastic and swim competitions. Simone Biles and Simone Manual both made history.

Simone Manuel became the first black woman to win an individual swimming event. Not only did she win gold for team USA, but she set an Olympic record of 52.70 seconds. Overwhelmed with joy when she realized she won, she cried as she gave thanks.

Simone Biles won her second gold with the all-around gymnastics. She scored 62.198, winning by 2.1 points., That 2.1 gap is greater than the margin of victories from the Olympics from 1980 to the 2012 combined!

Congrats ladies on a job well done!
