Chris Brown reportedly had a major victory in court recently, according to TMZ. The site reports that the singer and Nia Guzman, with whom he shares 2-year-old Royalty, headed back to continue their ongoing custody battle and for once, the judge completely sided with Chris.
Sources connected to Chris tell us, Nia Guzman struck out on every single request regarding custody of 2-year-old Royalty. Nia wanted full custody — DENIED. She wanted Chris to have monitored visitation — DENIED. She wanted to deny Chris’ mom the right to see the kid — DENIED. She wanted Chris to submit to drug tests — DENIED.
The judge kept the current custody agreement in place, with Chris having Royalty 12 days a week. He has also given Chris a credit, as he pre-paid Nia’s $20k lawyer fees for this battle, and the judge felt after the hearing that he deserves his money back.
There was still a pending hearing for child support, as Nia was looking to up Chris’ monthly payments from $2500 to $16k, but she’s since dismissed her support petition. For her part, she says this is not only an old story but one full of fallacies as well. She has since deleted her Instagram post blasting TMZ for it, and blog site Fameolous has posted a court log that shows something was filed for the case on Nia’s behalf on August 4.
