During the Detroit stop of the “Summer 16” tour, Drake decided that he wanted to make a statement by bringing out the city’s King of rap, and possibly one of the greatest rappers ever, Eminem. The two performed their 2009 hit, “Forever.” Causing pandemonium in the Joe Lewis Arena.
This moment comes two weeks after Ebro discussed on-air a conversation he had with Drake during Caribana where the two jokingly talked about a diss coming from Eminem on Joe Budden’s behalf. Listeners ran with it, believing that it was a serious possibility.
“SHARED THE STAGE WITH THE GOAT FOR DETROIT DONE THE HYPE” Drake wrote in a caption on Instagram Em played with fans’ heads with his post. In his caption, “Views from The Joe. #WelcometoDetroit.” Noivce assumed that it was a shot at Joe, who is also signed to Shady Records with the group, Slaughterhouse.
After being trolled, Joe replied in a set of now-deleted tweets:
“I keep trying to be irrelevant but y’all won’t let me lol. ’m smoking hookah w my girl, why do I have 300 mentions cuz 2 top tier artists performed together ? … I’m lost. Lol”
