When French Montana broke the news to fans that MC4 would not come out as expected this month, they were completely heartbroken. Although the new date was set for October 14, the album leaked after being shipped to several retail stores like Target. Montana tweeted that the delay was due to sampling issues, but Epic Records’ CEO, L.A. Reid is telling a different story.

Reid called into the Rap Radar podcast this week and explained to B. Dot and Elliott Wilson the real reason behind the last minute push back. Reid, stated they still “had work to do” and were aiming for “monstrous success,” meaning that the “No Shopping” didn’t create the buzz the label expected.
