It’s been nearly two months since Kevin Durant departed the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors, a team that overcame a 3-1 series deficit to upend the Thunder en route to their second consecutive trip to the NBA Finals.

While it has settled into the minds of NBA fans across the world that the former league MVP and four-time scoring champion will join forces with the organization that set the record for most wins in a season, former teammate Russell Westbrook and the Air Jordan brand appear to have used the controversial move to take a jab at Durant in a new commercial, which can be seen below.
“Some run, some make runways”

While the commercial doesn’t begin with any controversy, it ends with a voiceover saying, “Some run, others make runways,” while Westbrook throws down an authoritative dunk.
The quote and the commercial went viral on social media, with many pointing to the “some run” phrase as a shot at Durant, who played with Westbrook for eight of his nine seasons.
Westbrook extended his contract with Oklahoma City for three years worth $85 million this summer, adding to speculation “others make runways” refers to his desire to remain a member of the Thunder organization.
Whether a shot at Durant was intended or not, it’s clear to see that Westbrook has a message for the entire NBA, including his former teammate.
